Ha participado activamente en olimpiadas internacionales de matem\u00e1tica, como concursante y como jefe de delegaci\u00f3n.<\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"black\">Su participaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s destacada fue en 2012 cuando obtuvo una menci\u00f3n de honor en la Olimpiada Iberoamericana de Matem\u00e1tica Universitaria. En la academia, imparte cursos en la Escuela de Ciencias F\u00edsicas y Matem\u00e1ticas de la Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, en donde tambi\u00e9n ha sido coordinador de investigaciones en materia de matem\u00e1tica educativa.<\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"black\">Fue asesor en materia de transparencia fiscal en el Ministerio de Finanzas P\u00fablicas, en donde elabor\u00f3 un modelo financiero que fue base para la contrataci\u00f3n del seguro param\u00e9trico contra exceso de lluvia. Tambi\u00e9n desempe\u00f1\u00f3 un papel crucial en el desarrollo conceptual de varios portales de transparencia fiscal.<\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"black\">Anteriormente, en el Instituto Nacional de Estad\u00edstica (INE), ocup\u00f3 el cargo de analista senior.
